We are looking for a Web Applications Engineer for an established and growing client in Edinburgh. The
successful candidate will provide specialised technical support for software systems. The role assists in the implementation and maintenance of applications and the development of associated policies and procedures; both for use internally and externally by clients’ world-wide customer base.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the you will be responsible is for the support of applications utilised on multiple sit by a large number of users, devices and servers over a wide network area. The emphasis of this position is the overall implementation, testing and maintenance of large-scale, complex systems.
The ideal applicant will be from one of two profiles (as below):
Someone with an honours degree in IT or Computer Science and around two years’ of experience in implementing & managing large scale enterprise-wide software installations Someone with an established mix and combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to two years of specialised web application assignments working on a Linux OS or Microsoft platform.
