We have been hired to source a skilled C# .NET Software Developer to join the development team of a major player in the legal and finance sector.

The client is looking for someone in and around the Aberdeenshire area. Full initial training will be provided with the role being set to be hybrid (3 in, 2 out) once you are up to speed with the systems and role.

The team and opportunity you will provide you with full lifecycle responsibility, and the real chance to take ownership of software solutions from design through to implementation.

The successful applicant will be involved in a full range of development duties including:

  • Adding new functionality and fixing issues in existing software applications.
  • Communicate and agree solutions, technologies and designs with developers, team leaders and stakeholders.
  • Writing code and unit tests.
  • Provide help and support to the other developers as required
  • Provide input into improving the development process and standards as identified and if required
Key Skills:
  • Skilled in (a strong mix) of C#, .Net, Visual Studio, Java, HTML5 Web Development, and SQL
  • Experience and a solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle – i.e. Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, DevOps, RAD etc
  • Working to Agile methodologies
  • Experience in working as part of a small development team working in weekly sprints, and peer review of code before it is made live.
  • Confident in contributing and working to strategic roadmaps, ensuring long term business objectives. Someone who can shape and make decisions, technology choices, and contribute and identify potential future software development opportunities.

Desirable skills:

  • Some experience in working for a Professional Services company
  • ASP .Net
