We are recruiting a C++ SOFTWARE ENGINEERS for an established and world leading software client based in Edinburgh. Our client is one of the country’s true success stories with a historic worldwide client and users base.
On offer challenging and interesting careers to the skilled C++ Software Engineers. There are roles ranging from excellent graduate level up to more skilled Software Engineers / Senior Software Engineers through to potentially team leader roles. You will join one of our clients small teams and be heavily involved in the design and development of the software (to a high level) and work to the end released product to market. The roles will pose real questions and potential hurdles to solve (not just bug fixes). The software you produce is often amended in real-time due to changes to provide solutions to occasionally unique situations that our customers face when using in the field.
. Applicants are expected to have experience in the following areas:
- Computer Science or Software Engineering degree
- C++ (ideally 11+)
- Full software development Lifecycle
Other skills that are desirable are:
- Application / User Interface Design & implementation (ideally using Qt)
- PostgreSQL, Python
- Browser based mapping / JavaScript
- Linux OS, JIRA , Git
- Team / development leadership potential
