Systems Administrator / Engineer (Cloud)  

Are you a skilled and passionate Cloud base architecture professional? We are seeking a cloud-based Systems Administrator / Engineer for a nationwide award-winning client, based in the Edinburgh offices. Working closely with their clients, they produce online and cloud-based software that adapts to scale to serve a broad range of businesses from small to medium enterprises through to multi-national corporations. They are focused on the continual enhancement of their software platform, offering on-going innovative and useful new features.

Due to an exciting phase in the company growth, they are looking to hire an experienced cloud-based professional with previous experience of Administration / Maintenance, Tech Support, Provisioning, and installing new technology and features onto cloud-based architecture (ideally built on Python).

This is a challenging and rewarding role offering a full scope for someone with the desire to work on a role that offers real opportunities both in skills and career advancement. You will be tasked with all areas of the clients’ Site Reliability to help manage and improve their cloud-based infrastructure

Applicants will ideally come with development experience as you will work closely and have the chance to assist the development team. You should have strong experience and understanding of highly available, scalable systems, as well as a solid understanding of web security.

This is a full-time role, but offers the option for flexi-time and also remote working.

 Role responsibilities:

  • Cloud infrastructure including orchestration, maintenance, configuration, & monitoring
  • Designing and maintaining scalable & highly-available architectures
  • Manage debug, and diagnose issues
  • Database administration (data imports)
  • Disaster recovery (planning and implementation)
