We are looking for a Systems Software Developer with established web application programming and database design / administration skills for a thriving client in Edinburgh.

The role has consists of around 30% C#/C++ software development, 30% database maintenance and 40% supporting existing systems and business systems activity. The successful applicant will be give the scope to redesign existing systems and also the implementation of new systems from the ground up to improve and support the company business processes.

The successful applicants will be responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting our clients business systems that include: financial, client-side business management, licencing control databases, and their associated intranet/ internet systems & interfaces.

Skills / Qualifications (a good selection of the following):

  • A degree in Computing Science or IT Systems.

Web Application Programming (ideally) using a good mix of the following skills:

  • C#.NET
  • C++
  • Perl
  • Entity Framework
  • AJAX
  • WEB Forms/ WEB Controls
  • JavaScript
  • JQuery
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • XML
  • Team Foundation Server
  • Classic ASP
  • PHP

Good database skills are also required. Candidates with a mix of the following will be considered:

  • IIS 7+ WEB SERVER
  • Microsoft SQL SERVER 2008/20012/2014/2016
  • TSQL Queries
  • Stored Procedures
  • Database Design
  • Database Administration
  • SQL Server Integration (ETL) & Reporting Services (Reports)
  • Windows 2008 /2012/2016 Server Operating Systems.
  • A good understanding of Command Line Batch Files/ shell scripting.
