We are actively seeking skilled and qualified Software Development Engineers (Physical Science / Maths) educated to a high level (PhD/ MSc/ 1st or 2:1) in a physical science (physics, maths etc) for a market-leading client.
Applicants should have commercial or strong academic software experience working with external companies and established software development skills.
You will be based at our clients’ Edinburgh offices and will be part of a team developing cutting edge engineering models that improve and represent the physics and engineering principles used for modelling complex physical data engineering projects.
Duties for this role may include:
- Algorithm development
- Software coding
- Interface design
- Testing of the software tool kit in-line with the corporate product development plan.
Skills required:
- Post graduate/ commercial experience in Software Development.
- A PhD or good degree in Physics, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering or Petroleum.
- Skilled in one (or more) of the following: C, C++, .Net Technologies, Fortran, Visual Studio
