IT Systems / Support Engineer – Windows (Server 2008/2012 / Office 365)
Our client, a market leading IT & Communications provider are looking for a customer facing Desktop Support Engineer to join them in their Glasgow to join our Customer Support Team to support with Installation and management of new and existing customers. Our clients Support Team is at the heart of their business and is responsible for managing a wide variety of calls, e-mails and request from our clients and other parts of their business.
This role will complement our existing technical resource and will offer excellent progression opportunities for the right candidate.
Responsibilities and Duties
- A customer facing role covering the service, installation, general support and fault finding on a wide variety of IT systems PC’s,Printers,Switch’s,Routers etc
- Update billing systems with client plans, details and billing figures
- Office 365 – Consulting, installation and maintenance
- Installation / support of hosted phone systems
- Working closely (often face to face) with potential and existing suppliers to discuss their technical specifications and new products and services
- Liaise with the sales and service team to help provide pre-sales technical support
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years experience in a similar support role
- Office 365 configuration and administration
- LANs, WANs and networking
- Experience installing and administering
- PC and server hardware components and configuration
- Installation and configuration of desktop operating systems and applications
- Disaster recovery and business continuity services (in particular cloud back up services)
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007-2016
- MCSA / MCP / CCNA would be desirable but not essential
